Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs visits Bulgaria to strengthen bilateral relations

During 1-3 September 2009, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Panich Vikitsreth paid an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria as guest of Bulgarian Foreign Ministry. On 2 September, Mr. Panich held extensive bilateral talks with Mr. Marin Raykov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, on various issues to strengthen the relations between the two countries politically, economically and socially. Thailand was of the view that Bulgaria has potential to be a production base for Thai agricultural products that cater to Bulgaria’s domestic demand and serve as a potential export hub to Balkan countries together with the country members of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) as well as the European Union (EU)

On 3 September, Vice Minister Panich also paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Rumiana Jeleva, Foreign Minister of Bulgaria.
