Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Thailand-Cambodia border area in the Phra Viharn National Park, Sri Sa Ket

On 13 September 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Thailand-Cambodia border area in the Phra Viharn National Park, Kuntaraluk District, Sri Sa Ket, in order to visit military personnel and receive factual report on the border situation in the area adjacent to the Temple of Phra Viharn.

On 13 September 2009, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Thailand-Cambodia border area in the Phra Viharn National Park, Kuntaraluk District, Sri Sa Ket, in order to visit military personnel and receive factual report on the border situation in the area adjacent to the Temple of Phra Viharn.

Foreign Minister Kasit welcomed and had a brief talk with General Chea Tara, Deputy Commander of Cambodia's Armed Forces. Later, he gave an interview to the Thai media expressing his appreciation to the bravery and sacrifice of the Thai troops in the area. Both the Royal Thai and Cambodian Governments have agreed to resolve the problem of overlapping territory through peaceful negotiation because peace and stability would benefit as “win-win” situation for the two countries.
