Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan pays a courtesy call on Vice Foreign Minister Panich

On 23 December 2009, Mr. Nurlan B. Yermerbayev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan paid a courtesy call on Mr. Panich Vikitsreth, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, at the Foreign Ministry. Gist as follows:

Deputy Foreign Minister Yermerbayev expressed appreciation for the development of bilateral relations between Thailand and Kazakhstan and their cooperation in various regional frameworks such as Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which Thailand is the only ASEAN member joining the said framework. Vice Foreign Minister Panich thanked Kazakhstan for its understanding on the situation in the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand as well as its support for Thailand in the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). Vice Foreign Minister Panich also mentioned about the successful outcome of Malaysian Prime Minister’s official visit to Thailand and Narathiwat Province recently. In addition, both sides further discussed and exchanged views on various issues such as illegal arms trade, and cooperation in tourism, trade and economic areas.
