On 15 February 2010, Ms. Vimon Kidchob, Director-General of Department of Information, and Ms. Boosara Kanchanarai, Director of Division IV, Department of Asean Affairs, received cartoon mascots of ten ASEAN member countries from Ms. Jantaraporn Hunsavong, Director of Special Affairs for Education, Santirat Institute of Business Administration (SIBA), and representatives of SIBA students at the Department of Information, Foreign Ministry.
Ms. Jantaraporn thanked the Foreign Ministry for its close cooperation with the Institute in providing relevant information and displays on ASEAN member countries and development of the organization for “SIBA Open Vision to ASEAN” academic fair, held during 9 — 10 February 2010. The fair also included a contest on production of ASEAN cartoon mascots which were presented by Ms. Jantaraporn to the Department of Asean Affairs to promote ASEAN awareness to the public.
