Peruvian Ambassador pays a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister on the Completion of his mission in Thailand

On 24 March 2010, Mr. Carlos Velasco Mendiola, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kasit Piromya, Foreign Minister, on the occasion of his completion of assignment in Thailand.

Foreign Minister Kasit expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Mendiola for his determination and enthusiasm to strengthen close and cordial relations between Thailand and Peru. He hoped that Ambassador Mendiola would continue presenting good image of Thailand in Peru even after his mission in the Kingdom.

In addition, both sides exchanged views on ways and means to promote the interaction between academicians and political parties of the two countries, experience sharing on the issue of minorities and enhancement of people-to-people contacts.

After the meeting, Foreign Minister Kasit hosted a luncheon in honour of Ambassador Mendiola.
