Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend the 18th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting to be held in Madrid, Spain, during 26-27 May 2010. The Meeting will focus on the recent development of both regions and exchange views on the regional and international issues such as climate change, energy and food security, terrorism, disarmament and non-proliferation of WMD, and economic crisis. On this occasion, Foreign Minister Kasit will discuss the issue of “Connectivity within ASEAN” with his EU counterparts as well.
In addition, Foreign Minister Kasit will hold bilateral meetings with the Spanish Foreign Minister as well as Foreign Ministers of other EU member countries. He will also take this opportunity to meet with the Thai Ambassadors and Consuls General posted in the Northern Africa.
