The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be holding a briefing to introduce the Ministry’s Media Online Service (MMOS) to members of Thai and foreign media based in Thailand on Tuesday, 10 August 2010 at the Department of Information. The briefing will be conducted in Thai at 1000 - 1100 hrs and in English at 1400 - 1500 hrs.
The MMOS is a system developed by the Foreign Ministry to support the following services to members of media:
1. Online media registration for important meetings, conferences and other events hosted by the Foreign Ministry for both Thai and foreign media based in Thailand who wish to cover such events.
2. Online accreditation service for foreign members of media intending to work or reside in the Kingdom as well as for the annual renewal of the media accreditation to obtain extension for visa, work permit and press card. The MMOS will also expedite the procedure and support the Foreign Ministry’s environmental friendly policy by reducing the usage of paper.
3. E-newsletter service for updated news from the Foreign Ministry, which can be applied by both individuals and organisations.
To provide a better understanding and efficient usage of the MMOS by members of media, the Department of Information would like to invite members of media and concerned personnel to attend the briefing.
