On 9 August 2010, Mr. Kasit Piromya, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of activities to celebrate the 78th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The celebration was held in honour of Her Majesty the Queen’s activities in various areas, particularly her contribution in foreign affairs and conservation of Thai arts and cultures, for the acknowledgement of the diplomatic corps as well as Thai and foreign dignitaries.
The activities consisted of a reception, a traditional Khon masked dance in the special episode of “The Floating Lady,” presented by the SUPPORT Foundation under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, a presentation of the Khon costumes and ornaments bestowed upon by Her Majesty the Queen, an exhibition of SUPPORT Foundation’s works and products, and an exhibition on “Her Majesty the Queen and International Affairs.”
