Recently, Mr.Veerakorn Kamprakorp, Minister of the Prime Minister's Office presided over the 5/1997 meeting of Decentralization Subcommittee (DS) at Government House.
The meeting granted approval to 29 projects under a budget of Bt 123.28 million, comprising 26 projects for road and bridge construction/improvement, worth Bt107.16 million and three other development projects, worth Bt 16.13 million.
The 26 projects are mainly for asphalt roads, reinforced concrete roads, as well as bridge construction all over the country, such as asphalt road construction project in Pichit Province, Chiang Rai Province, Si Sa Ket Province, reinforced concrete road construction projects in Roi Et Province, Chon Buri Province, Amnat Chareon Province, Surin Province, Nakhon Phanom Province, Yasothon Province, Nong Bua Lamphu Province, Udon Thani Province, Pattani Province, Sakon Nakhon Province, Chaiyaphum Province, Khon Kaen Province, Kalasin Province, Chiang Mai Province, as well as bridge and road construction project in Satun Province, Phetchaburi Province, etc.
Other three projects are for improvement of infrastructure services, including landscape improvement of the Princess Mother garden at Chachoengsao province, establishment for district craft center at Sakon Nakhon, concrete river banks and reinforced concrete road at Nakhon Sawan province.
Moreover, the meeting approved another project, asphalt road and bridge construction to Kao Chong waterfall, Trang Province, but on condition that secretariat of the sub-committee cooperate with provincial organization to adjust details and budget of the road for further consideration.
