Gross Domestic Product of Q2/2001 has been complied based on the most up-to-date data available from the various sources. The figures have also been revised back to some preceding quarters of the series as follows:
1. Reestimating the second crop of paddy yield based on the latest revision of crops forecast of the year 2000/2001 by the Office of Agricultural Economics, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives.
2. Revising the distribution ratio of imported machinery and equipments, especially for use in the intermediate inputs.
3. Revising the services income based on the latest revision on balance by the Bank of Thailand.
4. Revising the government expenditure classification in accordance with the System of National Accounts. The National Economic and Social Development Board would like to thank all government agencies, private institutions and companies who continually provide the needed data especially those who have spent much of the time and afford to speed up data processing and make their reports available in time with high quality. The Board is looking forward to continuing good cooperation for data quality development in the future.
