Gross Domestic Product of Q3/2001 has been complied based on the most up-to-date data available from various sources. The figures have been revised back to Q1/2001 of the series as follows:
1. Updating data according to the revision of production, plantation area and cost structure of major crops such as rice, sugarcane, soy beans, ground beans, maize, cassava and palm beans estimated by the Office of Agricultural Economics, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives.
2. Revising the export of services and expenditure of resident abroad based on the latest revision of the balance of payments by the Bank of Thailand.
3. Reclassified the government expenditure on the item of social security contributed by government from current government consumption to be a transfer transaction to the social security fund. Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board would like to thank all government agencies, private institutions and companies who continually provide the needed data especially those who have spent much of the time and afford to speed up data processing and make their reports available in time with high quality. The office is looking forward to continuing close cooperation for data quality development in the future.
