Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL), the world's leading direct marketer of computer systems, today announced the Dell Latitude XPi CD M166ST with new features that include Intel's 166MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology, a 10X CD-ROM fdrive and increased memory capacity.
Today's announcement marks the sixth generation of the award-winning Dell Latitude XPi/XPi CD product line introduced more than two years ago. Dell is the only vendor in the industry to offer a notebook product that is still compatible with the batteries, memory, peripherals and docking stations from five previous gnenerations. This consistent design approach can help customers lower their product lifecycle costs since they can easily exchange or reuse the removable hard drives, long-life lithium-ion batteries and memory from previous generations.
The Dell Latitude XPi CD M166ST is designed for corporate, government and education customers who require reliability, stability and superior battery life for complex networked environment. This product line provides lower cost of ownership, outstanding network connectivity and broad operating system support.

Dell provides a standard three-year warranty on its entire line of Dell Latitude XPi Cd notebook PCs. The warranty includes next-business-day on-site service for the initial year. The second and third years are covered with a next-business-day parts service.
