The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), jointly with The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Association of Thai Securities Companies (ASCO), Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC) and Thai Listed Companies Association (TLCA), has launched the first-ever "Capital Market Innovation Awards 2018" project, to commemorate the SET's 43rd anniversary, in search of innovation excellence to benefit the capital market sustainably while catering to the demands of investors and stakeholders in the digital era.
SET Chairman Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi stated that SET has placed emphasis on promoting organization-wide innovative culture. This year we have expanded such an endeavor to the capital market to create an innovation-driven capital market towards sustainability, in accordance with SET's 3-year (2018-2020) strategy of "Towards Sustainable Growth with Innovation". The aim is to focus on cutting-edge technology and innovation that will lead to new products and services to meet all demands in line with Thailand 4.0 strategy. The award competition would be a stage to attract innovative ideas for the benefit of the Thai capital market, while enhancing potential and competitiveness of various businesses. Simultaneously, this way the brilliant entrepreneurs-cum-creators or developers would be recognized more prominently.
The award project has a panel of judges who are experts in the capital market and various other fields. Applications are open to the capital market organizations, the general public, startups and Fintechs entrepreneurs, students as well as the general public to win a total cash prize worth over THB 800,000. Submissions are open from now until June 30, 2018 and the competition results will be announced on October 9, 2018.
