Krungsri unveils additional relief measures (phase 3)  to assist customers affected by COVID-19

Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL and its subsidiaries) introduced additional customer assistance measures (phase 3) for customers impacted by the third wave of the COVID-19 outbreak. The additional measures cover all groups of customers - Retail, Business Banking, and Commercial Banking - to ease hardship from the impact foreseen by the Bank based on the recent situation.

Krungsri President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Seiichiro Akita said "From the assessment, Krungsri found that the epidemic of COVID-19 situation still had a wide and continuous impact on all customer groups. Many customers are still fragile and in constant need of assistance. At the same time, there are additional customers affected by this new wave of the COVID-19. We, therefore, are ready to assist all groups of customers with appropriate measures."

Krungsri Group's COVID-19 assistance measures for customers impacted by the COVID-19 comprise:

For personal loan customers

  • Change of revolving loan limit to installment payment
  • Installment amount reduction
  • Debt consolidation in compliance with debt restructuring by debt consolidation approach

For mortgage customers or mortgage refinancing customers

  • A grace period on principal and interest repayment
  • A grace period on principal repayment with partial interest payment
  • Installment amount reduction
  • Debt consolidation in compliance with debt restructuring by debt consolidation approach

For Commercial Banking customers

  • The Bank provides assistance measures through "Rehabilitation Measures" and "Asset Warehousing" in accordance with impacts on a case-by-case basis.

For Krungsri Consumer's credit card and personal loan customers, the assistance measures include:
Measure 1: For all customers - Reduction of minimum monthly payment rate

  • For credit card products, the minimum monthly payment rate for all customers will be automatically reduced from 10% to 5% for the billing cycles until 31 December 2021, without the need to notify their intent.
  • For personal loan products, the minimum monthly payment rate for all customers will be automatically reduced from 5% to 3% for the billing cycles until 31 December 2021, without the need to notify their intent.

Measure 2: For customers with normal account status - Special reduction of interest rates and an extension of the installment payment period for up to 99 months for customers in the affected business groups. Customers must register via UCHOOSE application from 20 May 2021 - 31 December 2021 and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • For credit card products, special reduction of interest rate and an extension of the installment payment period for up to 48 months
  • For personal loan products:
    For customers with less than 30,000 baht outstanding balance, special reduction of interest rate and reduction of minimum monthly payment rate to 3%.
    For customers with a minimum outstanding balance of 30,000 baht, special reduction of interest rate and installment period extension for up to 99 months.

Measure 3: For both credit card and personal loan customers with outstanding balance - monthly installment amount reduction and installment period extension for up to 99 months (debt restructuring) with special reduction of interest rate. Customers must register and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
