Krungsri (Bank of Ayudhya PCL) revealed the success of Krungsri Virtual Business Matching 2021 event, which provided opportunities for Thai and ASEAN entrepreneurs to meet and negotiate trade via an online platform. With over 300 business matches from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, Krungsri has reinforced its progress in the Medium-Term Business Plan covering 2021-2023, which aims to support the business expansion opportunities in the country and the ASEAN region, combining customers' interests through the strength of the MUFG Network.

Mr. Pornsanong Tuchinda, Krungsri Head of Commercial Banking, said, "This event is organized under Krungsri Business, aiming to expedite financial services in all areas while offering knowledge, information, and support for our business customers both SMEs and corporate segments in broadening the business opportunities according to Krungsri' s medium-term business plan. The plan focuses on supporting business expansion domestically as well as in ASEAN region through MUFG global networks. In addition, it focuses on building mutual benefits for each customer group under the business chain while adding value to customers' businesses. Business matching is one of our key services provided to our business customers throughout these years, especially in time of COVID-19 crisis that affects all walks of lives, and entrepreneurs are undoubtedly have been heavily affected by it. Ms. Mantinee Akarasern, Krungsri Head of Commercial Marketing Division, explained about the event that, "Krungsri Virtual Business Matching was hosted for the second time through an online platform since the COVID-19 pandemic began in Thailand last year. The event was held during 1-24 June 2021 and received positive responses from businesses in both Thailand and ASEAN. This event generated over 300 business matches, which was beyond our expected target and even higher than last year in which 100 businesses were matched. The number of participating buyers and sellers this year has also increased, with over 170 sellers and more than 20 buyers. The majority of the buyers are from large companies in Thailand and overseas, namely they are from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, looking for Thai goods and services to be imported. The top 3 industries receiving the highest attention are food & beverage, health and beauty, and household products. This indicated that these businesses from Thailand are popular among the neighboring countries."
