SEEN Beach Club Samui recently hosted the press conference of 'Samui Plus' programme, the much-anticipated reopening of Thailand's trio of popular islands Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao to international travelers, launched by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
The event was presided over by the Minister of Tourism and Sports, H.E. Mr Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn and was attended by Mr. Vijvut Tjinto, Governor of Surat Thani Province and Dr. Manu Sukolsakul, Surat Thani Provincial Public Health Doctor and Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor along with local dignitaries.
Under the Samui Plus Model fully vaccinated international travellers flying into Koh Samui are required to stay at a Samui Extra Plus approved hotel, on the island. After Day 7, guests can stay at any Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) Plus certified hotel on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao provided they produce negative RT-PCR tests.
