JWD InfoLogistics Public Company Limited (JWD) recognizes that the trend in the Cold Chain Logistics service business will grow continually to support the Ecommerce boom and is preparing to elevate the transport capability and expand the service parameters to showcase its expertise as the leader in the cold storage business with integrated related services in a strong bid to expand the businesses.
Mr. Charvanin Bunditkitsada, Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of JWD InfoLogistics Public Company Limited (JWD), revealed that the company has evaluated the cold chain logistics service business and found that the trend is for continuous growth through the next 2-3 years. This is because at present, many operators and SMEs are in need for controlled-temperature delivery service for food items, vegetables, fruits and drinks to maintain the quality and freshness of the merchandise. At the same time, the ability to make deliveries from origin to destination very quickly is very crucial to fulfill the demand of the consumers in the digital age who are increasingly placing their orders online through Ecommerce and social media channels.
Such a trend has raised the need for Cold Chain Logistics services from service providers who are experienced and expert in this line of business. Most recently, the Company has been preparing to elevate the level of such services to increase the capability in controlled temperature logistics as well as expanding the scope of service to cover wider area more efficiently by adapting new knowledge and modern technology to the business.
At present, the Company is considered to be the leader in the cold chain services and integrated related services in Thailand as well as being the first public cold storage operator that has utilized the automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS). Currently, there are cold storage facilities to service three areas, namely, Mahachai (Samut Sakhon Province), and Bangna and Suwinthawong in Bangkok with the combined service area of almost 67,000 square meters that can store in access of 100,000 tons of goods. In recent past, the Company has received full confidence from customers who regularly use the services with the average rented space at all locations higher than 80 percent.
