Pioneering regional connectivity, Thai Vietjet today announced its new international services from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Singapore and Taipei, plus direct flights connecting Phuket and Singapore.
The new services from Bangkok (BKK) to Taipei (TPE) and Singapore (SIN) will begin operation on October 20, 2021 and October 21, 2021 respectively, while the direct service from Phuket (HKT) to Singapore (SIN) will commence on October 21, 2021. The airline also provides connecting flights from Bangkok to Phuket for passengers flying from Taipei to Bangkok for transit, allowing them to connect with the 'Phuket Sandbox' at ease.
In the beginning period, the Bangkok to Taipei and Singapore will be operated with frequency of 3 flights/week each on Wednesday, Friday, Sunday and Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday, respectively. The Phuket - Singapore service will start with 2 flights weekly on Thursday and Sunday. Additional frequency for the 3 new routes would be increased at later stage to better stimulate market demand and offer further convenience to passengers.
