Great Wall Motor (GWM) continues its volunteer spirit to stand by Thais and offer constant support under its "GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER" CSR campaign. In its latest activities, GWM executives and employees have given more than 460,000 surgical face masks to 29 government organizations with aim to curb COVID-19 outbreak. Moreover, GWM has played a role in easing the plight of farmers in the face of fruit oversupply by buying mangosteens from southern farmers for donation to people living in COVID-hit communities.

GWM has continued to volunteer and extend its assistance to Thais under the "GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER" CSR campaign. Lately, Michael Chong, Assistant President, Great Wall Motor ASEAN and Thailand, and Khanchit Chaisupho, Vice President of External and Government Affairs, Great Wall Motor Thailand, have led GWM team in donating face masks to 29 government agencies and hospitals in Bangkok and Rayong.

The recipients are the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), the Thailand Automotive Institute, the Land Transport Department, the Office of the Board of Investment, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), the Business Development Department, the Office of the Consumer Protection Board, the Excise Department, the Customs Department, the Office of Industrial Economics, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, the Provincial Electricity Authority, the Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission, the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, and the Immigration Bureau Division 3, the Rayong Employment Office, the Map Ta Phut Immigration Office, the Rayong Labor Welfare Protection Office, the I-EA-T Office in Rayong's Pluak Daeng district, the Pluak Daeng Social Security Office, the Pluak Daeng Hospital, the Map Ta Phut Customs Office, the Rayong Excise Office 2, the Pluak Daeng Police Station, the Bo Win Police Station, and the Provincial Police Region 2.

As COVID-19 situation has caused widespread ramifications on people, GWM recognizes the importance of disease prevention. It, therefore, has extended its support beyond the scope of medical workers and people. In GWM focus are also state officials who have been working hard to deliver public services at various agencies and whose role has supported Thailand's vital businesses and industries. Aware of the need to protect state officials, GWM has been donating 460,000 surgical face masks to 29 government agencies for distribution to their staff, their visitors, and people living in risky zones. Not only that these face masks serve as protective equipment, but they also give moral support to recipients. To date, GWM has already delivered face masks to 23 government agencies. More donations will be made to cover all 29 target authorities as GWM aims to play a role in reining in COVID-19 outbreak and help Thais pull through the current crisis together.

GWM, furthermore, has helped Thai farmers by buying more than 400 kilograms of mangosteens directly from the southern farmers. The move aims to ease their plight at the time oversupply has drastically cut fruit price. Due to COVID-19 spread, farmers have also been unable to transport their fruits to other areas or foreign countries. There have been problems about labor migration and container shortage as well. GWM has recently bought mangosteens from farmers and given the fruits to people living in Bangkok's COVID-hit areas.

Guided by its consumer-centric focus, GWM not only understands Thais but also seeks to assist Thais across all sectors at such difficult time via its "GO WITH ME, GO TOGETHER" CSR campaign. Under this project, GWM has donated 1 million Baht to Food for Fighters (FFF) so that this volunteer network can cook food and deliver commodities to medical workers as well as people in need during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. GWM has also provided the network with All New HAVAL H6 Hybrid SUVs in support of its operations and transportation.

GWM, in addition, has encouraged its employees, partners, media, customers and supporters to volunteer services, deliver helps, and donate money to FFF.
