Esso Sriracha Refinery, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited delivered scholarships from employee donations at 1,193,000 Baht to needed students in Sriracha District under the project "Esso Sriracha Refinery and Employees Scholarship Fund".
Mr. Suchart Phowatthanasathian, Director and Refinery Manager, along with Dr. Taweesak Bunluesin, Director, Esso (Thailand) Pcl., presented 500 scholarships, including 307 scholarships for primary school which is 2,000 Baht per each, and 193 scholarships for secondary school which is 3,000 Baht per each. All the scholarships will be supporting needy and disadvantaged students who were selected by Equitable Education Fund (EEF).
On this occasion, it was honored that Mr. Phakthorn Thianchai, Chonburi Governor together with Mr. Surachet Kaewkum, Deputy of Sriracha Sheriff, Dr. Adisak Jangkamolkulchai, Chairman and Managing Director of Esso (Thailand) Plc. and Asst. Prof. Daranee Utairatanakit, EEF Board of Governance also participated to congratulate those being awarded through online meeting channels and the live broadcast from Multi Employee Complex (MEC) Building, Esso Sriracha Refinery.
"Esso Sriracha Refinery Education Fund" was established since 1999 with an intention to support and provide educational opportunities for local youth. In addition, employees are encouraged to participate in providing increased opportunities to enhance children's potential and youth in the area in accordance with the Company's business policy and to achieve the objectives of the Fund.
