B. Braun and Aesculap Academy Thailand signed MOA with Thai Enterostomal Therapy Society "Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injury Guideline" for protecting and improving the health of people around the world.
B. Braun (Thailand) Ltd., supplier and distributor of medical, pharmaceutical products and services in Thailand represented by Mr. Sayan Roy, Managing Director, along with the management team signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for "Prevention and Treatment of Pressure Injury Guideline" with Enterostomal Therapy Society represented by Dr. Yuwadee Kestsumpun, President along with members of Phramongkutklao Hospital, Rajavithi Hospital, and Bumrungrad Hospital.
The collaboration of this 3 years project is for sharing the knowledge and expertise of supporting the establishment of the standard guideline for pressure ulcer management, including referral protocol as well as building capacities of healthcare professionals and educating caregivers on pressure ulcers from Enterostomal Therapy Nurse to Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals, Village Health Volunteers, Patients, and Caregivers. In an attempt to decrease the prevalence of pressure ulcers which will help reduce the workload of healthcare professionals as well as decrease the patient's extra expenses for wound care.
Dr. Yuwadee Kestsumpun (President of Thai Enterostomal Therapy Society) stated that
