The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) is continuing its energy-saving building promotion programme for the sixth year and in 2022 KPI Tower of Krungthai Panich Insurance Plc. has received "MEA Energy Awards" for the second time.
According to Dr. Pongpanu Damrongsiri, President of Krungthai Panich Insurance Public Company Limited (KPI), based on the company's "Step for Tomorrow Sustainability" concept, KPI is moving towards sustainable development and continues to improve system of operation for greater efficiency by focusing on 3 areas of UN's SDGs which are Good Health and Well Being, Climate Action and Responsible Consumption and Production. Our concern for global warming and environmental issues can be clearly seen in the KPI Tower project since the beginning of the construction in 2009 when it was designed to become the 'green' building aiming to reduce in-building energy consumption and promote air quality, which will directly benefit building users.
In 2022 KPI has several plans and projects leading towards saving energy consumption as well as investing and supporting activities to reduce and stop using resources which threaten climate system and environment by promoting the use of renewable energy such as solar energy and electric vehicle. KPI will also give importance to promote good health and well-being of the customers in all ages with the aim to deliver the best-in-class and sustainable insurance products and services. "MEA Energy Awards" we received this year following the first one we received in 2017 has proved again our strong concern and commitment for sustainable development and environment and our continuous success in maintaining efficiency improvement for better energy consumption of KPI Tower" added Dr Pongpanu.
