BDMS Signs MOU on Academic Cooperation with Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse (CHUT)

Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), led by Dr. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth, President and CEO,  Dr.Trin Charumilind, Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Suthorn Bavonratanavech, Chief of BDMS Orthopedic and Trauma Care Network and Chief Faculty of CoE Orthopedics Institute jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on academic cooperation with the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse (CHUT) of France led by Mr. Jean-Francois Lefevre, Executive Director of CHUT, Professor Dr. Nicolas Rena, Chief of Orthopedics together with H.E. Mr. Thierry Mathou, the Ambassador of France to Thailand, Mr. Benoit Talleu, Cooperation Officer for Science and Higher Education and Dr. Gerard Lalande, Healthcare Advisor at a recent signing ceremony.

BDMS is the largest private hospital network in Thailand, with hospitals across all of the regions of Thailand as well as hospitals in Cambodia. The BDMS Orthopedics service line is one of BDMS's designated Center of Excellence (CoE) programs designed to provide comprehensive world-class medical services to both Thai and international patients.

The cooperation with CHUT will assist in continuing to advance our mission of providing medical care of the highest quality international standard for our orthopedics patients. We continue to aspire to be recognized as offering the top level of Orthopedics care available in Thailand and Asia.

BDMS is committed to academia and compiling academic work of the highest internationally recognized standard. We will cooperate with CHUT through joint educational activities, including medical seminars and cooperation in orthopedics studies and research.

We remain committed to continuous learning to ensure that our clinical teams continue to provide the latest treatment approaches to our patients. An essential component of the cooperation with CHUT will include educational visits to CHUT by BDMS Orthopedics Surgeons and other relevant clinical personnel, including nurses and physical therapists.

Providing extensive medical services, the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse (CHUT) is situated in Toulouse, France. CHUT has hospitals and patient centers in 11 different locations with a total combined bed capacity of more than 2,500 beds as well as 65 operating theaters. CHUT manages 287,004 patients annually, with surgery patients accounting for 50,186 per year.

This collaboration represents BDMS's continued commitment to providing knowledge and skills enhancement to enable us to provide world-class orthopedics patients with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment that covers the full spectrum of orthopedic conditions. Further, the collaboration is expected to increase awareness of Thai medical expertise amongst providers in France and our French clients whom BDMS is privileged to serve.
