UOB Thailand today announced that it will host a series of open house events starting from now to 27 August 2022, with around 1,000 employment opportunities available for both fresh graduates and banking professionals at all levels of experience.This recruitment drive is to support the Bank's business expansion following the announcement on the acquisition of Citigroup's consumer banking business at the beginning of the year.
The Bank aims to strengthen its workforce across all levels from operational level, middle management to technical experts. 40 per cent of the vacancies are Relationship Manager roles, 20 per cent are teller positions at branches and 40 per cent are roles at supporting functions.
According to the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), the number of unemployed stood at 610,000 in Thailand in the first quarter of 2022. Unemployment among highly educated workers also remained high, with tertiary graduates accounting for 3.1 per cent of the unemployed workforce, or 225,000 people.
