The 4th PET EXPO CHAMPIONSHIP 2022, the leading exhibition for pets and pet-lovers, has started with a full range of activities, games and competitions, including the country's first-ever Bearded Dragon Competition. Visitors can enjoy shopping products and services from more than 200 booths from 8-11 September 2022 at BITEC Bangna. At least 100 million baht of income is expected to be generated in this event.
Ms. Duangrat Udomsomporn, Deputy General Manager of N.C.C. Management & Development Co Ltd (N.C.C.), as the organizer of the 4th PET EXPO CHAMPIONSHIP 2022, says that the event this year is held under the "Mission Impossible" theme after it was suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the pandemic situation has been easing and the government allows the events to be held in compliance with the public health's safety policy. This event is expected to generate no less than 100 million baht in circulation.
The objectives of the event are to create business opportunity, increase sale revenue for exhibitors, and promote good attitude and basic understanding in raising pets. Importantly, the event has a lot of activities and highlights such as the Dog Agility Competition - the only competition in Thailand for dogs to show their skill in extreme sports from beginner to advance levels.
Other activities comprise High Jump, a competition that helps training important skills for dogs, and Zig Zag, another impressive competition that always make audience smile with dogs' loveliness. Winners and participants will get prize money, trophies and many other rewards from joining competitions.
In addition, PET EXPO CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 also has many other activities such as rabbit and cavy zone. Participants can come to see cuteness of Red New Zealand Rabbit, which has red thick hair, chubby and strong muscle, and short neck. Its average weight is 5 kilograms. Besides, there will be a competition of rabbit and cavy for new breeders in compliance with the standard of American Rabbit Breeders Association: ARBA.
The organizer gathers a plenty of rare pets to show in this Exotic Pet Zone, for example, Albino Coati Mundi Ringed Tail, Meerkat, Bush Baby, Woma Python, Anary Sand Boa, Stripe Sand Boa, Jackson Chameleon, Bearded Dragon and Biak Green Tree Monitor.
Meanwhile, it also hosts several pet competitions to impress visitors and let them participate with pets. The competitions will be held as following:
- On Friday 9 September 2022: Cat Competition Fun Show by FFC during 11.30-17.00 hrs. at Exotic Pet.
- On Saturday 10 September 2022: Bengal Competition Show by TBC during 11.30-17.00 hrs. at Exotic Pet and Rabbit Competition with three species of Netherland Dwarf Speciality, Holland Lop Speciality and Cavy Local during 12.00-17.00 hrs. at Rabbit & Cavy Zone.
- On Sunday 11 September 2022: Thailand's first Bearded Dragon Competition during 11.30-17.30 hrs. at Exotic Pet and All Species of Rabbits and Cavy Competition during 12.00-17.00 hrs. at Rabbit & Cavy Zone.
Shoppers can enjoy products and services from more than 200 booths, which offers food and snacks for pets, medical and supplementary products, shampoo and hair treatment, pet grooming kits, clothes and accessories, skill development toys and equipment, pet hospitals, cat product zone, rabbit zone, cavy zone, animal foundations, pet nursery services and there is also food and beverage zone for visitors.
