Bangkok Bank continues to expand its banking agent network to help customers conveniently perform their financial transactions 24 hours a day by adding Boonterm kiosks as the first banking agent that accepts cash deposits via automatic machine at more than 130,000 locations nation-wide. The minimum deposit starts at one baht with cash back for every transaction until January 31, 2023.

Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Prassanee Ouiyamaphan said as a trusted partner, the Bank is committed to continuously developing and expanding service channels to provide fast and convenient services so customers can perform their transactions smoothly anywhere, anytime, 24 hours a day. One of the key strategies is to seek cooperation with other business partners to expand the banking agent network to cover every area in Thailand. In this regard, the Bank has recently appointed Forth Smart Service Public Company Limited, a provider of Boonterm top-up services, as a new banking agent. It is also the first agent that accepts cash deposits via automatic machines. At present, there are around 130,000 Boonterm kiosks nationwide. This will increase Bangkok Bank's nationwide coverage of banking agents to more than 140,000 service points.

"With a nationwide coverage of more than 130,000 kiosks, especially in community areas, the Bank will be able to provide more convenient services to our retail customers while tapping into new customer segments such as small merchants. With this service, they can now make deposits smoothly anywhere, anytime, on a 24-hour basis without having to travel to branches or find ATMs. One of the highlights that helps enhance the Bank's service capability is the fact that deposits can be made using both coins (one, two, five and ten baht) and banknotes (20 and 50 baht). This service provides the Bank with another strong point that enhances its service efficiency while reinforcing its status as a trusted partner for customers from all groups and every lifestyle," said Mrs. Prassanee.

Mr. Narongsak Lertsapthawee, Managing Director of Forth Smart Service Public Company Limited (FSMART), a leading network of easy to use, convenient and secure automated and financial services channels under the Boonterm brand, said being a banking agent for Bangkok Bank will provide greater convenience to both Boonterm and Bangkok Bank customers nationwide. "Our 130,000 service points, which are available 24 hours a day, will reduce the need to travel to Bank branches while expanding the customer base for both parties. Meanwhile gaining trust from a leading financial institution in Thailand like Bangkok Bank will help strengthen Boonterm's capability and coverage, as we are now a banking agent for eight financial institutions in Thailand. Boonterm will continue to expand its cooperation with Bangkok Bank by adding other transaction services, such as cash withdrawal via Boonterm Kiosk, Mini ATM and authentication for account opening in the future.

"Cash deposit via Boonterm's kiosks is as secure as the Bank's CDMs. Customers can instantly make cash deposits to Bangkok Bank savings and current accounts using their national identity number and account number. Then, customers will receive an SMS message to confirm the deposit when the transaction has been successfully completed. Cash deposits via Boonterm Kiosks are available from November onwards. The company also plans to launch other services soon, such as cash withdrawal via Boonterm, Mini ATM and account authentication," said Mr. Narongsak.

The cash deposit service is available 24 hours a day via Boonterm kiosks nationwide (except Boonterm kiosks installed in front of 7-Eleven stores). Deposit amounts can be between 1 - 5,000 baht per day per depositor with a maximum of 40,000 baht/day/depositor (subject to transaction fees specified by the Bank).
