The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will list depositary receipts (DRs) on Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd. and NetEase Inc. under the ticker symbol "PINGAN80" and "NETEASE80", respectively. Both DRs, issued by Krungthai Bank pcl (KTB), will debut on SET on March 15.
Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd. is China's largest insurance company, with financial and healthcare services as core businesses. NetEase Inc. is the leading gaming company in China, providing online game development service and online entertainment media platform. "PINGAN80" and "NETEASE80" will be sold to investors through a direct listing on the stock exchange without IPO process.
DR provides investors a choice to diversify portfolio overseas conveniently through the Thai stock market. Investors can trade DR in Thai baht via existing securities accounts, similar to trading Thai stocks.
