The PARQ moves towards on sustainability through LIVE GREEN LIVE WELL campaign Proceeds from the integrated waste management system initiative go to the Forest in Our Hearts Foundation
The PARQ, the mixed-use development integrating smart workplaces and lifestyle retail under the concept of "Life Well Balanced", is building on its commitment to creating new sustainability standards in working and living and has launched of the LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL campaign to encourage tenants and visitors to engage in integrated waste management system. The proceeds from the LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL initiative are donated to the "Forest in Our Hearts Foundation" to support the foundation's activities in expanding green areas or community forests in three areas, following the foundation's 2023 objectives. These cover a combined 187,200 square meters and are located in Ban Rai District in Uthai Thani Province, Chiang Dao District, and Mae Taeng District in Chiang Mai Province. Between October 2020 and September 2022, The PARQ's LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL initiative sent over 26,000 kilograms of waste to the integrated waste management system.
The LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL project, a collaboration between The PARQ and Thai Beverage Recycling (TBR), sows the seeds of the notion of "Waste-to-Donation" by encouraging tenants and visitors to participate in waste separation and sorting, making packaging waste more valuable by converting it into a donation. Bring three types of recyclable waste ? clear plastic bottles, aluminium cans, and glass bottles ? and turn them into donation proceeds to support the Forest in Our Hearts Foundation. In addition, The PARQ matched the donation's value to the foundation's operations to promote and support the preservation of the environment and natural resources by restoring and maintaining forests and expanding green areas throughout Thailand to address pollution issues and restore harmony with the ecosystem while also protecting endangered wildlife for sustainable economic, social, and environmental development. The LIVE GREEN, LIVE WELL initiative also promotes a comprehensive waste management system, covering waste sorting, collecting and further recycling, and turning food waste into organic fertilizer.
The PARQ is design to be a highly efficient green building that considers energy and cost savings and environmental stewardship according to LEED certification and promotes the good health and well-being of the building's residents according to WELL standards.
