Chulalongkorn Business School, The Top Business School in Thailand with Triple Crown Accreditation

Chulalongkorn Business School reaffirms its status as the No. 1 Business School in Thailand with World-class Triple Crown Accreditation

Thanks to the continued development of the MBA Chula (Master of Business Administration) learning system, its lecturers and students, its application of modern technology and innovations as well as its research work, Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS), Chulalongkorn University, has stepped up to the highest level of business school standards. Not only is it ranked the top business school in Thailand, but CBS has also received Triple Crown Accreditation, which emphasizes its capacity and standard to develop business leaders in the new world.

Prof. Wilert Puriwat, Dean of CBS, said that in addition to having been recognized as the top-ranking business school in Thailand by the QS World University Rankings 2023 for ten consecutive years, CBS achieved Triple Crown Accreditation from three international organizations, namely the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) from the United States, EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) from Europe, and AMBA (Association of MBAs) from the United Kingdom. This is a great success for the school as only 108 business schools of more than 30,000 worldwide have received Triple Crown Accreditation.

"For the first time, a Thai business school has topped the ranking of business schools in Thailand and placed among the best 100 business schools in the world. This will give CBS greater opportunities to broaden partnerships with those institutes in various fields of collaboration including academia, research as well as student exchange programs, thus leading to an upgrade in MBA learning standards in the future," Prof. Wilert said.

Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol Assarut, Director of CBS's MBA (Executive) Programme, added that MBA Chula is entering its fifth decade with curriculum reforms that help business leaders get the knowledge they need to prepare for the fast-changing business landscape as well as reinforce a philanthropic spirit.

MBA Chula has developed subject matters, strategies, and implementation based on its mission to prepare business leaders with an innovative, internationally oriented, and ethical mindset that impacts Thai society.

Based on a new way of thinking that focuses not just on imparting theoretical knowledge, but also aims to develop both the hard and soft skills of business leaders, the improved MBA program comprises 3 core values: Global Wisdom with Local Insights, Hands-on Experience, and Leading Business with Kindness. This translates into 5 dimensions of the learning philosophy, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Care.

Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol said that MBA Chula is designed as a module system, enabling the program to be more adjustable and including new content such as soft skills to cope with the changing world of business. In addition, MBA Chula has also changed how it delivers business wisdom such as through case-based and experiential learning that focuses on real cases by allowing students to study local businesses and propose a solution to solve the problems.

Furthermore, MBA Chula has revised its Overseas Study Trip component so that students gain more knowledge and experience of business practices through expanded partnerships with educational institutes and enterprises in various countries.

MBA Chula expects graduates to be able to apply knowledge and concepts to real business circumstances and analyze, plan, and evaluate business outcomes. They must also demonstrate their understanding of and commitment to the industry's code of ethics. In addition, they should be able to effectively communicate business concepts and original ideas and work well in a group to accomplish their group project.

"Besides the improvements to the program, MBA Chula has also initiated a Life-Long Learning program allowing MBA Chula alumni to back to school. They can choose elective courses and study together with new students enabling alumni to enhance their knowledge continuously," Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol concluded.
