AEON Thailand Foundation launches AEON Grow Green "Know Tree Me Tag" project: Transforming Plastic Bottle Cap into Plant Knowledge Resources to Foster Environmental Conservation
AEON Thailand Foundation led by Mrs. Suporn Wattanavekin (second from left), Chairperson of AEON Thailand Foundation together with Mr. Tsutomu Omodera (left), Managing Director of AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited presided over the opening ceremony of the AEON Grow Green "Know Tree Me Tag" to celebrate the 31st anniversary of AEON Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Public Company Limited, the foundation initiative succeeded in over 500 tree tags installed at Benchakitti Park, Bangkok, and provided tree's information website worth 266,860 baht in total. The contribution was received by Mr. Pornphrom Vikitsreth (second from right), the advisor to the Bangkok Governor and Ms. Woranuch Suaykhakhao (right), Deputy Director General of Environment Department at the opening of the event.
The tree tags by the foundation featured a QR Code allowing people to explore more details about the trees. Importantly, the tree tags are made of an eco-friendly material by recycling 37 plastic bottle caps. The project has led to a recycling of more than 18,500 plastic bottle caps which reduced waste and supported environmental preservation by reuse and recycling, in line with the Foundation's commitment to sustainability.
