GSK, a global biopharmaceutical company, has officially named Marija Krstic as the new General Manager of GlaxoSmithKline (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Ms. Krstic, who previously served as the Vaccine Market Lead for GSK's Growth Emerging Markets, will assume her new role, replacing Mr. Viriya Chongphaisal, starting on December 1, 2023.
Marija, who has been with GSK since 2004, brings over two decades of expertise gained through her work in several countries. In her new role, she will play a pivotal part in advancing GSK's growth in Thailand and facilitating effective access to innovative medicines and vaccines for Thai people. This involves fostering an organizational culture that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and a high level of employee engagement, along with a growth mindset, all of which are important for ensuring GSK's future success in Thailand. These efforts reinforce GSK's commitment to get ahead of disease prevention by harnessing scientific knowledge, technology, and the talents of its people.
Marija has an extensive background in marketing in countries across Southeast Europe. In 2016, she assumed the role of Managing Director for GSK in Serbia and Croatia. In 2018, her role expanded to also include oversight of the Croatian market and neighboring countries as part of GSK's Southeast European cluster. Throughout her career, Marija has a proven track record in leading organizational management, handling effective risk management, encouraging employee engagement, and driving sustainable growth. In 2021, she was appointed as the General Medicines Commercial Market Lead for the Growth Emerging Markets country group based in the United Kingdom. In 2023, she transitioned to the position of Vaccines Market Lead for Growth Emerging Markets, before being appointed as General Manager for GSK Thailand.
Marija holds a bachelor's degree in Dentistry from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, along with a master's degree in business administration from COTRUGLI Business School.
