AHS welcomes its new members to properties across Thailand, including Rayong, Chiang Mai, Kanchanaburi and Bangkok, as well as in Canggu Bali, Indonesia.
David Calvet Appointed General Manager at Eastin Resort Rayong, ThailandDavid Calvet, a seasoned professional from France, brings an extensive management background to his role as the newly appointed General Manager at Eastin Resort Rayong. With expertise in P&L management, marketing, business strategy, service operation and leadership, David can lead the team to new heights.
David's work history includes roles as the Hotel Manager at Sheraton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa in French Polynesia and as the General Manager at Le Fenix Sukhumvit Bangkok. Further notable achievements include a stint as Regional Operations Director at Major Cineplex Group, covering Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Since 2020, David has successfully run his own venture, Hug Udon Hotel & Cafe in Udon Thani, Thailand.
Kris Panyasuksri Appointed Cluster General Manager in Chiang Mai
Kris Panyasuksri takes on the role of Cluster General Manager, overseeing three prominent properties in Chiang Mai: U Nimman Chiang Mai, Eastin Tan Chiang Mai and Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai. Kris, who holds a Master of Science in Business and Hospitality Management from San Francisco State University, brings a range of international industry knowledge and experience to the position. His diverse career includes leadership roles at globally recognised establishments, such as San Francisco Four Seasons Hotel, Anantara Koh Samui, Hard Rock Vietnam and Dusit Thani Himalaya Resort Dhulikhel Nepal, where he served as General Manager during their pre-opening phase.
The new appointments reflect AHS's ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and achieving operational excellence across its diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts.
Chutima Kaewta-Fortescue Assumes General Manager Role at Eastin Grand Sathorn Bangkok, Thailand
With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Chutima Kaewta-Fortescue has been appointed General Manager at Eastin Grand Sathorn Bangkok. Chutima first joined Absolute Hotel Services Group in 2010, beginning her journey as General Manager at U Inchantree Kanchanaburi before transitioning to General Manager at Eastin Hotel Makkasan Bangkok and then U Sukhumvit Bangkok. Her adept management skills substantially improved service quality and financial performance across all properties.
After a brief sabbatical, during which she successfully managed her consultancy company, assisting non-branded properties with operational enhancements, Chutima rejoined AHS in 2019 as Quality Assurance Director. In 2020, she took on the role of General Manager, overseeing three properties in Chiang Mai.
Jari Nielsen Takes the Helm as General Manager at Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Bali, Indonesia
Bringing a wealth of international experience and a proven track record of successful hotel operations leadership, Jari Nielsen has been appointed as the General Manager at Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Bali, Indonesia. Jari's career includes key roles at renowned establishments such as Copenhagen Admiral Hotel, The Lanesborough London and Burj Al Arab Hotel Dubai.
From 2013 to 2016, Jari served as Resident Manager & ExCom Member at Centara Karon Resort & Spa Phuket, contributing significantly to its success. His subsequent roles included leadership positions at Centara Grand West Bay Doha and Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya. Jari is also the Co-Founder & Managing Director of Galore Hospitality Group.

His dedication and leadership were evident in his previous position as the Director of Service at U Hua Hin, where he successfully oversaw a 69-room property.
Mr. Pakkapol is recognized not only for his managerial prowess but also for his polished appearance and unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. His remarkable journey in the hospitality sector includes significant contributions to renowned establishments such as Six Senses Resorts & Spas, Anantara Resort and Spa, Four Seasons Resort, Nishaville Resort and Spa, Centara Hotels and Resorts.
