MDES-depa and Digital China Group signed an MOU to facilitate regional digitization and AI upgrading.

Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand by Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Digital China Group. The agreement announced cooperation in various areas including digital economy development, cloud computing, digital infrastructure construction, Big Data centers, and digital talent development. Both parties pledged to collaborate in promoting the development of cutting-edge digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in Thailand.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of depa and Mr. Chen Zhenkun, Digital China Group have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in digital economy and innovation development. Witnessing the signing were Mr. Guo Wei, Chairman of Digital China Group and Dr. Wetang Phuangsup, Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) of Thailand at Data & Cloud Innovation - Digital China Bangkok Summit.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon stated that Mr. Prasert Jantararuangtong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), has entrusted depa to establish a digital ecosystem to enhance the Thailand's competitiveness, drive country to become a hub for investment, and foster digital technology and innovation in the ASEAN region, aligning with the ministry's key initiative, The Growth Engine of Thailand.

"MDES by depa, has been promoting the development of cross-border economic systems through digital technology, as well as advancing discussions on digital investment promotion through the Greater Bay Area (GBA) with the People's Republic of China consistently. Therefore, the collaboration between depa and Digital China Group on this occasion will be another significant cooperation in economic and digital innovation development, resulting in the development of digital technology for the benefit of the people and the elevation of the country's economy. At the same time, Thailand welcomes all forms of collaboration to enhance the country's digital ecosystem, stimulate creative thinking, promote Thai entrepreneurs, and sustainably strengthen the digital economy." stated the President/CEO of depa.

Mr. Guo Wei, Chairman and CEO of Digital China Group, mentioned in his speech that " today marked the first cooperation between Digital China Group and Thailand and it is the starting point for us to assist depa in the development of Thailand's digital economy.
