SET and TCC partner to enhance entrepreneur access to capital via LiVE Platform

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Board of Trade of Thailand have joined forces to empower entrepreneurs with the LiVE Platform. The collaboration will leverage the TCC's Line Official Account (OA) to provide entrepreneurs with the knowledge and services needed to unlock their business potential, boost competitiveness, and secure funding for the Thai sustainable economic growth.

President of LiVE Exchange (LiVEx) and Managing Director of Live Fin Corp Co., Ltd., under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group, Prapan Charoenprawatt said that as SET is entering its 50th year of operations this year in building a future for all sectors, LiVE Platform will enhance the potential of SMEs and startups by providing essential knowledge and understanding for business growth, fostering capabilities in various dimensions, and preparing them for accessing funding sources in the capital market. The platform has leveraged power of partnership with public and private sector organizations to offer in-depth business knowledge and connect SMEs and startups to create a collaborative and supportive ecosystem. Through this collaboration, SET integrates LiVE Platform services into the TCC's Line OA, providing TCC members with convenient access to a wealth of knowledge resources and services. Entrepreneurs can also stay updated on beneficial activities and funding opportunities tailored to their growth needs under the specific conditions.

This initiative builds on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the "Development and Support for Startups and SMEs Project" signed in 2021 between SET, TCC, and Board of Trade of Thailand to strengthen business potential of startups and SMEs through knowledge-sharing and LiVE Platform services. SET has continuously collaborated in promoting entrepreneur readiness for capital markets and co-developing vital business knowledge.

The TCC and Board of Trade of Thailand Secretary General Kitsana Vachekrilas said that both organizations play a crucial role in bolstering Thailand's competitiveness and creating trade and service opportunities for entrepreneurs across all sectors. In collaboration with SET, the TCC's Embryo Incubation Program, operated by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce since 2021, has prepared entrepreneurs for fundraising through SET, Market for Alternative Investment (mai), and LiVEx. The program has supported over 160 entrepreneurs across four batches, with the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) providing grants to enhance key business systems including financial accounting, business risk management and systematic internal control management, and made entrepreneurs better accessible to knowledge source and services provided by SET's LiVE Platform. The collaboration will greatly benefit TCC members and networks, especially gaining access to a comprehensive knowledge base from national gurus on topics like management, marketing, innovation, accounting, and finance. Additionally, the platform offers business tools and services, such as a set of standard contracts developed in collaboration with Baker McKenzie, available for free download. TCC's over 140,000 members nationwide can access various services and receive updates on news and activities through the convenient TCC Line OA channel.
