Unithai Logistics and Unithai Warehouse organized activities to block waste into community aquatic animal conservation areas and mangrove forests.
Unithai Group of Companies, led by United Thai Warehouse Co., Ltd. and United Thai Logistics Co., Ltd. organized an activity to block waste into community aquatic animal conservation areas and mangrove forests at Wat Kongkaram (Wat Bon). Employees from Unithai's headquarters and CUEL Bangkok also participated in the event. This activity provided volunteers with the opportunity to learn about the mangrove ecosystem and help establish barriers to protect the environment and the mangrove ecosystem, which serves as a nursery for juvenile aquatic animals. Additionally, mangrove forests have a significant role in absorbing carbon dioxide, with higher rates of photosynthesis compared to other forest types. Hence, there is a need to utilize blue carbon, as these mangroves play a vital role in sequestering carbon and storing it in the soil beneath the seabed or coastal sediment. This activity fostered harmony among employees of each business group and aligned with the mission of the Unithai Group and CUEL for sustainable businesses development and prosperity, alongside community, social, and environmental development.
