MSpa International, a global leader in the Spa & Wellness industry under Minor Hotels, has been honoured with two prestigious awards at the Thailand Wellness Asia Summit 2024 (TWAS) recently held in Bangkok.
Thailand Wellness Asia Summit is one of Asia's largest events on wellness, aiming to encourage and develop international collaborations for the health and wellness tourism industry in Thailand and Asia. With over 1,000 attendees from more than 30 countries, this year's summit highlighted the special partnership between China and Thailand, with a range of activities including seminars, panel discussions, workshops, exhibition booths, networking opportunities as well as award ceremonies.
William E. Heinecke, Founder and Chairman of Minor International, was awarded the Global Honorary Award of "Best Contribution to Global Wellness Hospitality Tourism", in recognition for his outstanding leadership and contributions to the wellness hospitality industry.
MSPA's Group Director of Spa and Wellness, Sandie Johannessen, also received the award for "Best Visionary in Spa and Wellness Excellence", acknowledging her innovative approach to wellness tourism in the region.
Operating over 70 spas worldwide, MSpa is an international driving force in Spa & Wellness. MSpa's journey began in Thailand in 1999 and has since evolved and expanded to include the renowned Anantara Spa and AvaniSpa brands, as well as bespoke concepts such as The Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie, Vivid Bangkok Drip Bar and the recently announced Layan Life due to open in Phuket in Q3, 2024.
