KTC has revealed that the number of members scanning and paying with QR codes has increased by more than 60%, contributing to the shift towards a cashless society. Thais are increasingly making financial transactions through electronic systems. KTC is prepared to advance as a leader in technology by partnering with UnionPay to expand payment options. Members can now scan credit card QR codes via the KTC Mobile app, catering to those who prefer easy, convenient, safe, and fast online transactions. Special offer! Mr. Tosapong Rangkawara, Head of Credit Card Marketing Division, "KTC" or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, revealed that Thailand is currently entering the era of a fully cashless society. Thais are increasingly using mobile phones to scan QR codes for payments of products and services through banking applications, particularly for credit card QR payments, which are gaining acceptance at leading stores. It has also been found that KTC credit cardmembers have shown a 60% increase in scanning and paying with credit card QR codes from January 2024 to May 2024, due to its ease of use, convenience, speed, and safety. KTC has expanded its payment channels by adding an option for members to scan to pay with QR codes through the KTC Mobile app. In addition to paying for products and services, members can use the app to check their transactions, rewards points, and credit card limits.
Members can scan to pay using QR codes via the KTC Mobile app and use any KTC UnionPay credit card to pay for products or services at participating stores in Thailand. Enjoy a 10% discount with no minimum spend (up to 50 baht per receipt). This discount can be redeemed up to 3 times / card / day, with a total of 10 times throughout the campaign period, from March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
