An Invitation to Artistry Garden in Full Bloom on a Silk Scarf
Step into the artistry of 'Garden in Blossoms' at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok's 1897 Lounge as Executive Pastry Chef Franck Istel collaborates with pop-art eclectic drawing artist, Pomme Chan. Starting 1 August, this enchanting teatime experience will be available daily from 13:00 to 17:00. Priced at THB 2,390++ per set, it is perfect for two persons to enjoy this captivating moment together.
Pomme Chan's blossoming garden, filled with pinkish flowers under a sunny sky, evokes the dreamy settings of classic Grimm brothers' folktales. Her garden also features whimsical imaginary animals, including squirrels in pink dresses, ladybugs with fancy shells and snails with cream-roll-like shells, each adding charm to this idyllic setting for tea lovers.
"When I think of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, three things come to mind: it is a true oasis in the heart of this bustling city, serene enough for me to create beautiful paintings. The hotel's love for gardening is evident in its stunning gardens, and its top-notch hospitality makes my time here magical. The people here make me feel almost like a princess!" said Pomme Chan about Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.
Whilst Executive Pastry Chef Franck showcases his playful culinary expertise through a selection of sweets and savouries, this teatime experience is further enhanced by edible illustrations from Pomme Chan on each sweet bite. This serene teatime features Dilmah teas, exclusively blended for Kempinski Hotels, allowing guests to select their favourites. The experience begins with a colourful plate of savouries, inspired by the magical world of food, featuring fanciful yet delicious bites. The selection includes 'Salmon Ceviche, Phuket Pineapple, Lime', 'Foie Gras Mousse, Cherry Shortbread', 'Pickled Morel Mushroom, Truffle Cream' and 'Crab and Celeriac Remoulade, Ikura', each showcasing contemporary and innovative French and Asian cooking techniques.
The scone course offers a trio of plain, orange and chocolate flavours, quintessentially served with raspberry jam, Devonshire-style clotted cream and passion fruit curd. The final course is a delightful display of sweets, ranging from 'Madagascar Vanilla and Strawberry Roll', 'Apricot Vanilla Macaroon', Litchi Raspberry Mini Dome, Rose Petal' to 'Mango Lime Tarlet, Cream Cheese Chantilly', each featuring Pomme Chan's imaginary animals from 'Garden in Blossoms'.
