Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok debuts a contemporarily stylish signature mooncakes gift box for Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, grandly designed in keeping with the mighty Year of the Dragon. The majestic dragon drawing on the Signature Box was created in collaboration with a talented artist from ARTSTORY by Autistic Thai.
Founded in 2018 and supported by Autistic Thai Foundation, ARTSTORY is the social enterprise aiming to enhance and develop the skills of autistic individuals to enable them to express their imagination and feelings in artistic works and products. The beautiful dragon illustration on the Kimpton Signature Box was designed by "Mix" Anusone Tunarin, one of ARTSTORY's many talented artists.
Kimpton Signature Mooncake Box comes in the form of a traditional Chinese lantern and the illustrations draw deeply from the rich tapestry of Mooncake Festival legends. The mythical dragon, symbolising power and prosperity, gracefully soars around the moon. This captivating image is intricately interwoven with traditional Chinese motifs, such as the graceful lotus flower, lush peonies, and vibrant blooming petals, creating a harmonious blend of cultural symbols that celebrate heritage and artistry.
Each Kimpton Signature Mooncake Box contains four mooncakes with distinct varieties, including Monthong Durian with Salted Egg Yolk, Orange Yuzu, Thai Tea Macadamia and Karo Mocha Coffee, made from the premium coffee beans from the hippest roaster in town, Karo Coffee Roasters.
Each box of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok signature mooncakes is available at an early bird pre-order price of THB 1,988 net per box (regularly priced at THB 2,288 net per box) from 17 July - 31 August 2024, with pick-up available from 1 August 2024 onwards. A portion of proceeds from all mooncake box sale will be donated to ARTSTORY By Autistic Thai to support neurodivergent individuals in Thailand and promote inclusivity in our community.
