The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with The Cloud, is organizing the Amazing Green Fest 2024 and The Hotelier 2024. These events aim to promote sustainable tourism by encouraging responsible travel, supporting partners who practice socially and environmentally responsible tourism, and enhancing business opportunities. The events will take place from August 15-18, 2024, at Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated that sustainable tourism is no longer just a trend or a niche market but a key to long-term success and resilience in the tourism industry. TAT is committed to driving this initiative forward continuously and developing the Amazing Thailand brand to focus on sustainability, aligning with the country's 20-year national strategy to enhance competitiveness and the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan, which positions Thailand as a quality tourism destination emphasizing sustainability. Achieving this goal requires fostering a high-quality and sustainable tourism value chain, targeting high-spending, long-staying, and environmentally responsible tourists, and upgrading the tourism supply chain to meet sustainable standards. Promoting tourist-friendly cities to ensure fair and widespread income distribution is also essential for achieving balanced and sustainable growth in Thailand's tourism industry.

The Amazing Green Fest 2024 is expected to inspire stakeholders within and outside the tourism industry, as well as tourists, to recognize the importance of preserving tourism resources and understand the relationship between people and nature for balanced coexistence. TAT will use this event as a starting point to drive responsible tourism processes. The intensive sustainability goals of TAT's operations will be endorsed with the Amazing Thailand logo featuring a heart-shaped leaf symbolizing care for the triangle of sustainability (society, economy, culture, and environment) and marking the beginning of TAT's Carbon Neutral Event, certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).

Green Playground: Engaging children in activities that bring them closer to nature, curated by Rain Tree Residence Hotel, featuring stargazing, books, and storytelling.
