Bolt Celebrates Four Years of Success in Thailand

Bolt is on a mission to make cities for people, not cars

Bolt, the global shared mobility business, is celebrating four years of operations in Thailand. Since launching its services in July 2020, Bolt has grown to become one of the key ride-hailing operators in the country. As Bolt continues to evolve, the company plans to expand its services in multiple cities across Thailand, responding to the changing needs of its millions of users and strengthening its position in the mobility market.

To celebrate four years of operations in Thailand, Bolt is launching a special campaign for its riders and drivers. The company is collaborating with Molly Ally Ice Cream to create a unique Bolt-flavored ice cream, which will be available at Molly Ally - Siam Center, Molly Ally - EmQuartier, Molly Ally - The Circle Ratchaphruek, and on delivery platforms.

As part of this celebration, Bolt will offer 1,000 riders a discount code of 40 THB. Users can participate in this campaign by sharing the impressive story of Bolt using hashtags #Bolt4thBirthdayTH #BoltThailand. Additionally, Bolt drivers will also have an opportunity to participate in activities and have an opportunity increase their earnings with 0% commission. These activities are open from July 31 to August 30

Over the past four years, Bolt has achieved several milestones:

  • Investment in Electric Vehicles (EVs): Bolt launched the Green Category in Thailand and will continue to integrate more EVs into the platform, supporting the transition to more sustainable transportation.
  • Expanding Services: The company plans to expand its services to new cities, enabling more residents in Thailand to access Bolt's comprehensive mobility solutions.
  • Investment in Safety: Since entering the market, Bolt has consistently prioritized user and driver safety by implementing several features, such as the SOS button, audio trip recording, and trip safety monitoring.

Since its arrival in Thailand, Bolt has expanded its presence to Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai,, Chiang Rai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Udon Thani. The company has ambitious plans to extend its operations to more cities this year. Bolt is on a mission to make cities for people, not cars. Data from Bolt shows that people in Thailand are increasingly adopting shared mobility, with trip lengths increasing by 19% and orders rising by 600%.

Nathadon Suksiritarnan, General Manager of Bolt Thailand, commented on the company's vision: "Our four-year presence in Thailand has resulted in significant growth and strong integration into the transportation network. We are proud to contribute to improving urban mobility, with millions of users and thousands of drivers earning their income through Bolt. We want to thank our partner drivers and riders for their trust and support in Bolt. As an expression of gratitude, we are creating this campaign to celebrate their accomplishments. We look forward to our future expansion plans and remain committed to providing innovative and diverse transportation solutions that meet the changing needs of cities in Thailand."

*The winners will be selected based on Bolt's decision and need to meet the requirement
