Beiersdorf (Thailand) continues to advance its mission of providing care beyond skin by bringing together over 300 employees for the second year of the CARE BEYOND SKIN DAY initiative. This year's event saw the transformation of Prongmadua Wittayakom School in Nakhon Pathom province through comprehensive building and landscape renovations, aimed at enhancing the educational experience and overall development of local students. Additionally, participants engaged in rice planting activities to support the concept of ?sufficiency? and gain a deeper understanding of local ways of life. This initiative not only strengthens the sustainable value chain network but also aligns with Beiersdorf?s global commitment to community care and environmental stewardship.
Stephanie Barraud, Senior Vice President ? MU ASEAN, Beiersdorf Co., Ltd., ?This year, as the Beiersdorf family, we are ready and motivated to volunteer, ensuring children have access to schools with hygienic restrooms and conducive learning environments. We believe that fostering a good environment enhances their learning potential, contributing to their educational development. I am delighted that we can continuously support key education institutions with the community. This initiative reflects our commitment to ?CARE BEYOND SKIN?, promoting social equity and environmental sustainability.?
The CARE BEYOND SKIN (CBS) Day is a global initiative by Beiersdorf, now in its second year. This mission encourages positive social and environmental change. The annual event spans from April to October, allowing Beiersdorf employees worldwide to dedicate a full working day to volunteer with local charitable organizations.
In Thailand, this year's activities focused on Prongmadua Wittayakom School in Nakhon Pathom, where employees participated in renovating restrooms to improve hygiene, painting school buildings and surrounding landscapes, painting walkways, and engaging in recreational activities with students, including providing snacks and ice cream prepared by Beiersdorf volunteers. Executives and employee volunteers also took part in rice planting in a demonstration plot, promoting the ?sufficiency? lifestyle and gaining a deeper understanding of local community life. Additionally, there were educational sessions for students on social skills and personal health care to prepare them for adulthood.
?On behalf of Beiersdorf, I am pleased and proud of the interest and participation of over 300 employees, an increase from last year. This reflects the strong organizational culture and values we cultivate, driving us towards our sustainability goals through collective effort. Importantly, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Thailand Collaboration for Education (TCFE) by Yuvabadhana Foundation for their collaboration on these impactful activities. We hope to continue working together to create a sustainable and thriving society.? Stephanie concluded.
