KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has appointed Penpisith Chunprom as the Managing Director for Thailand and a member of the KONE Southeast Asia leadership team from July 2024. He takes charge from Edward Loy, who is relinquishing this role and continuing as Managing Director for Southeast Asia. Based in Bangkok, Penpisith will lead KONE?s operations in Thailand, driving the strategic and commercial goals across both Thailand and the region?s emerging markets including Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

Penpisith brings extensive expertise from over 25 years in managerial and leadership positions at various technology and industrial multinational companies, covering business development, sales, maintenance services and operations. These included handling different portfolios in KONE?s service and installation businesses in Thailand between 2009 and 2017. Prior to re-joining KONE, Penpisith was the Indochina director for service and project of US-based corporation in Bangkok. Most recently, he managed KONE?s New Building Solutions sales team in Thailand, where he played a significant role in expanding the company?s business and local footprint. Penpisith holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
