The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, together with RX Tradex, are inviting logistics industry professionals to discover services and technologies from over 160 companies presenting 415 brands from 25 countries plus over 20 conference sessions at ?TILOG - LOGISTIX 2024.? Held from 15 ? 17 August at BITEC, Hall 98, the event is expected to attract over 9,000 visitors.
Vannaporn Ketudat, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Commerce who presided over the opening ceremony, said, ?Logistics is key to driving Thailand?s economy and competitiveness. It is also one of the seven target sectors in the government?s IGNITE THAILAND vision seeking to build the country as a world-class industrial hub. The government has, therefore, been continuously placing emphasis on the development of logistics and infrastructure so that Thailand will rise to become the logistics hub of ASEAN. Efficient logistics management will bring more Thai products and services to overseas markets. Logistics service providers must adapt to be able to keep pace with the fast-changing world, answer customers? needs, and solve their problems.
Preparing logistics service providers for challenges and providing them with opportunities to partner with overseas counterparts can sharpen competitive edge for the industry. TILOG ? LOGISTIX 2024 plays a vital role in fostering Thai logistics industry?s potential, readiness, and collaboration in promoting Thailand as the regional hub. The event also provides business networking opportunities for service providers and traders in ASEAN.?
Natiya Suchinda, Deputy Director General of the DITP, said, ?The TILOG-LOGISTIX show, that we collaborate with RX Tradex, is one of the channels to distribute information, knowledge, and business opportunities for participants to expand their networks and to get ready for competition, regulations, and trade measures. The event will also help providers in upgrading their services so that we can move towards being the regional logistics hub.
The event is organized under the theme of 'Connecting the Logistics Future? to showcase potential, readiness, and collaboration within the logistics industry focusing on Innovations, Digitalization, and Sustainability. The event features over 160 exhibitors and 415 brands from 25 countries. We expect the event to attract over 9,000 visitors and generate sales of over 2 billion baht.?
Varaporn Dhamcharee, Managing Director of RX Tradex, said, ?TILOG ? LOGISTIX 2024 exhibits products from various countries such as Thailand, China, Japan, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Singapore and Indonesia, including a China Pavilion. The exhibit profiles range from Logistics IT and e-Logistics, Material Handling, Packing, Warehouse and Loading, and Transportation and Logistics Service Providers (LSP).
Highlighted innovations at the exhibition include AI-enabled deliverymen assistance and monitoring system, robotic material handling and warehouse management system, smooth-surfaced airbags for cushioning goods in containers, digital warehouse system, and integrated rail transport services.
Furthermore, TILOG ? LOGISTIX 2024 presents several interesting activities including an Exhibition on Thailand?s Logistics Industry displaying the industry?s potential and direction as well as logistics business trends in 2024 and 2025; Innovation Showcase featuring EV commercial four-wheel trucks by a company called e.Volution from Germany and a six-wheel EV truck by a Thai company called NEX POINT; Trade Logistics Symposium 2024; and World Transport & Logistics Forum.?
