The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) partners up with Vespa Thailand to invite travelers, music fans, and party lovers to join in on the fun at the "Southern Bliss Fest" to be held in Chumphon and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces. The goal is to create a fun and memorable experience in the area during the Green Season and create a traveling trend along the most enjoyable routes in the South with your favorite scooter.
The ?Southern Bliss Fest? is scheduled to take place August 23rd to the 25th, 2024, at Thung Wua Laen Beach, Chumphon Province and August 30th to September 1st, 2024 at Khanom Walking Street, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The festival aims to stimulate tourism during the Green Season in the Gulf of Thailand. The event will showcase the charming attractions of the South featuring local craft shops, delicious southern style food, and chic crafting workshops.
Event highlights include performances by hit singers such as Zani, Yes 'Sir Day, Piew The Voice in Chumphon and Lomosonic and Ning The Voice in Nakhon Si Thammarat. The event will also feature recommendations for 4 Southern travel routes that you can take a road trip on, these include:
- The ?Rak Khao Fang Sai? [รักษ์เขาฝั่งทราย] route in Ranong and Chumphon Provinces
For the adventurist at heart. Explore the region?s terrestrial biodiversity, with opportunities to learn about exotic flora and fauna along the way all while fostering a greater understanding and appreciation for marine conservation. - The ?Taste of the South? food route in Trang Province. Culinary delights await those who choose this path. Explore the south through taste with an array of fresh seafood delicacies and Southern Thai dishes that will ignite the senses.
- The ?Chatuthammathat Daen Tai? [จตุธรรมธาตุแดนใต้] route along Chumphon, Surat Thani, Phatthalung and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces. With this route, travelers will embark on a journey of discovery and enlightenment while visiting the many pagodas and temples the south has to offer.
- The ?Multicultural Southern Border? route in Pattani Province. On this path, travelers get to immerse themselves in the cultural richness the South has to offer while learning about its unique history along the way.
Miss Somradee Chitchong Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing (TAT), said that the Southern Bliss Fest will help create a vibrant and exciting travel experience for its participants, as well as encourage travelers to immerse themselves in Southern Thai culture that each city presents. The campaign is in line with the government?s IGNITE Thailand policy by driving the strategy of ?Main Cities and Attractive Cities?, presenting the Thai charm that is the identity of the South, and highlighting the Must Do selling points of the area perfectly. We would therefore like to invite everyone to visit the event and travel along the attractive city routes, which will pique their interests and create an unforgettable experience when traveling in the South.
Ms. Pakrudee Yongsuvimol, General Manager of VPPW Supplies Co., Ltd., a leading distributor of premium scooters and legendary Italian motorcycles from the Piaggio Group, added that Vespa members from various provinces across Thailand, especially in the South, will travel to join the event and bring their beloved Vespas for Vespa lovers to admire, this will help promote tourism in the region and its beautiful and impressive driving routes.
On the occasion of today's press conference, 3 presenters of Vespa, Mr. Puttipong Sriwat (Leo Put), Mr. Paophon Thephasadin Na Ayutthaya (Ta Barbie) and Mr. Ray MacDonald will share their thoughts, impressions, friendships, and experiences gained from riding Vespas to travel in the South, followed by a display of over 50 Vespas from Vespa Thailand members.
