depa announced the winners of the UNSEEN I SEE The Show Reel competition, a contest for creating digital content to promote tourist attractions in Thailand and review local products to attract international tourists. The competition received more than 300 submissions, with TikTok emerging as the most popular platform among Thai participants. Khon Kaen and Chonburi provinces were the most frequently reviewed areas.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, Executive Director of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), revealed that the UNSEEN I SEE The Show Reel online activity is an extension of the CONNEXION and ThailandCONNEX projects. The initiative aims to cultivate influencers in the review and travel sectors while simultaneously elevating Thai tourist attractions and products to the global stage. It also seeks to attract international tourists through digital content. The competition was open for submissions from July 10 to August 10, 2024.
"The 'UNSEEN I SEE The Show Reel' event reflects the potential of Thai people in producing high-quality digital content that effectively communicates with international audiences and showcases Thailand's numerous UNSEEN tourist attractions and hidden gems unknown to many. The event received an overwhelming response, with over 300 submissions, most of which were posted on TikTok due to the platform's editing tools that make digital content production easier. Meanwhile, Khon Kaen and Chonburi provinces were the most reviewed areas," said the Director of depa.
