The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is thrilled to announce the launch of the 3rd edition of 'The One for Nature: Leave No Trace Behind,? reaffirming its commitment to sustainable tourism. This initiative encourages international travellers to explore Thailand responsibly, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the country's tourism industry.

Mr. Nithee Seeprae, TAT Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, said, In response to challenges like over-tourism and environmental degradation, the campaign is part of TAT's ongoing commitment to promote sustainable tourism practices, corresponding with TAT's vision to position ourselves as a leader in sustainable, experience-based tourism. The campaign aims to create memorable experiences for visitors and contribute to global conservation efforts, addressing the increasing demand for eco-friendly travel options and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Thailand's tourism sector."

After the success of the last edition, 'The 2024 edition of 'The One for Nature' aims to enhance brand awareness of Amazing Thailand and promote Thailand's positive conservation image, encouraging environmentally conscious tourists to participate through various online platforms and other potential channels. This initiative seeks to raise widespread awareness, foster collaboration with local agencies and communities, and strengthen Thailand's reputation as a quality leisure destination. The campaign hopes to target high-quality international travellers from the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas who are interested in responsible tourism.

The campaign will kick off with online and on the ground activities from August to September 2024.

The online campaign invites participants to create an e-postcard via www.tourismthailand.org/theonefornature and share it on social media for their friends to vote. Participants with the most votes win a chance for one of the three 3-day, 2-night stay packages in Thailand.

The on-ground activity will feature interactive booths to raise awareness about the initiative, which involves travellers joining in recycling and turning trash into treasure workshops. The first exhibition will kick off on 17-18 August 2024 at SOOKSIAM G Floor, ICONSIAM, Bangkok. Following this, the booth will travel to key tourist cities, including 24-25 August 2024 at Ao Nang Walking Street, Krabi; 30-31 August 2024 at Wualai and Tha Pae Walking streets, Chiang Mai; and 14-15 September 2024 at Ko Samui, Surat Thani.

"TAT believes that 'The 3rd The One for Nature: Leave No Trace Behind' will reinforce our core communication message "Amazing Thailand, Your Stories Never End", promoting sustainable tourism within the country. By encouraging travellers to collaborate in preserving tourism sites, we ensure that the memorable experiences of travel are rooted in conserving our environment, natural beauty, and local communities. Ultimately, 'nature' plays a crucial role in maintaining Thailand's status as a top global destination," Mr. Nithee said.
