Dr. Junpen Meka-apiruk, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, along with Mr. Panpermsak Arunee, Acting Advisor for the Development of the Ministry, led university teams from Thailand to discuss and collaborate on academics, research, and innovation with universities in Guizhou Province and Henan Province, People's Republic of China. The discussions focused on exchanging academic cooperation with foreign institutions and universities on the topic "Advancing High-Quality Vocational Education through International Integration of Industrial Capacity in the New Era - The 2nd Workshop on International Cooperation in Vocational Education under the Background of China's Modernization." The aim was to promote friendship between the People's Republic of China and ASEAN countries in education. Additionally, the Thai delegation joined in celebrating the 17th anniversary of the founding of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation during the event, held from August 20th to 22nd, 2024.
Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, the President of the University of Phayao, delegated Associate Professor Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President; Assistant Professor Dr. Prakobsiri Pakdeepinit, Dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts; and Dr. Piyaphong Supanyo, Chairperson of the Tourism and Management Program at the School of Business and Communication Arts, to participate in the Thai-Chinese University Presidents Forum. The forum, which was held at Guizhou Minzu University, aimed to promote the curriculum of the University of Phayao through an exhibition. This event was a collaboration between universities from the People's Republic of China and Thailand. During the forum, the participants discussed cooperation in electric vehicles (EV) and technology, as well as the possibility of inviting world-class researchers to both Thailand and the People's Republic of China. The representatives from the University of Phayao also received media attention from the People's Republic of China, where they were interviewed to further publicize these initiatives.
