The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has successfully launched the "ESG DNA Project: Sustainability Knowledge for All" to equip employees across organizations with essential sustainability skills. This initiative aims to transform sustainability concepts into concrete actions. To date, 257 organizations have joined, with over 139,000 employees participating.
SET Senior Executive Vice President Soraphol Tulayasathien said that for nearly five decades, SET has championed responsible business practices by listed companies that consider Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, aiming to build a strong and sustainable growth foundation. The "ESG DNA Project: Sustainability Knowledge for All" was initiated in July 2023 and is open to listed companies, public and private companies, and SMEs eager to learn and implement fundamental sustainability principles within their organizations.
The ESG DNA project features over 20 e-Learning courses covering various sustainability topics, including basic knowledge for all employees, ESG insights for supervisors, and content on greenhouse gas management for strategy-related staff and relevant teams. These courses are designed to enhance employees' understanding of sustainable business practices at all levels, enabling them to integrate sustainable business practices into every aspect of their work. Participants will also have access to tools for tracking and measuring learning outcomes and embedding ESG DNA within their organizations.
Currently, 257 organizations have joined the project, with more than 139,000 employees completing the courses. SET has awarded certificates to 50 organizations that have successfully trained more than 70% of their workforce. This recognition aims to encourage organizations to leverage sustainability knowledge for business growth, competitiveness, and long-term success, added Soraphol.
Organizations interested in joining the "ESG DNA Project: Sustainability Knowledge for All" can apply for free starting January 2025. For more information, please contact setsustainability@set.or.th or visit www.setsustainability.com.
