ASEAN's largest international trade shows for vending machines, self-service facilities, food and beverage, tourism-related products and services, spas, swimming pools, amusement parks and theme park product
With a positive outlook for the Thai tourism sector in the last four months of this year, Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group and Compass Exhibition jointly organize four major international trade shows - VEND ASEAN, FNB ASEAN, ASEAN PATIO POOL SPA & TAAPE - bringing together 150 leading brands from Thailand and overseas to showcase a wide range of products and services, including vending machines, self-service facilities, food and beverage, tourism-related products and services, spas, swimming pools, amusement parks and theme park products. Scheduled for 3-5 September 2024, the four trade shows are held under the same roof over an area of 10,000 square meters of Hall 5-6 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, with an estimated 5,000 trade professionals expected to attend.
Mr. Suthiphong Pheunphiphop, Vice President of the Tourism Council of Thailand, said during the opening ceremony of VEND ASEAN, FNB ASEAN, ASEAN PATIO POOL SPA & TAAPE that according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the last four months of this year (September-December 2024) look promising for the tourism industry. TAT anticipates 12,226,500 foreign tourists visiting Thailand, an increase of 20%, generating 652.826 billion baht in revenue, an increase of 29% compared to the same period in 2023. The majority of foreign tourists projects for the last four months are expected to come from key markets in East Asia, followed by Europe and South Asia, with the rest coming from other regions. The top ten countries with the most tourists visiting Thailand are China (2.03 million), Malaysia (1.83 million), India (707,000), South Korea 740,000), Russia (698,000), Laos (434,000), Singapore (428,000), Taiwan (377,000), Japan (346,000), and the United States (341,000).
This aligns with the increasing demand for travel, including during major festivals and events such as China's National Day (October 1), Christmas and New Year celebrations. There are also supportive factors such as the government's stimulus measures, tourism promotion through events and the use of soft power such as food, movies and series, fashion, Muay Thai (Thai boxing), and festivals. Therefore, it is believed that the overall Thai tourism outlook toward the end of the year will continue to support the country's economic growth. Surveys of businesses also show a focus on business development, including new ventures and renovations, in the hotel, resort, swimming pool, spa, water park and amusement park sectors, both standalone and those within leading hotels. This trend also extends to shopping centers and restaurants in major tourist destinations.
VEND ASEAN, FNB ASEAN, ASEAN PATIO POOL SPA & TAAPE serve as a comprehensive platform, bringing together a wide range of products and services including vending machines, self-service facilities, food and beverage, tourism, swimming pools, spas, water parks and amusement parks from 150 leading brands from Thailand and overseas. Spanning 10,000 square meters at Halls 5-6, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, the four trade shows are scheduled for 3-5 September 2024, from 10 AM to 6 PM. This presents an excellent opportunity for Thai and ASEAN retail and tourism businesses to network with global industry leaders, explore new business opportunities, and gain valuable insights for enhancing service offerings to support retail business expansion and cater to the needs and lifestyles of tourists. Ultimately, this 4-in-1 event is expected to help stimulate growth in Thailand's retail sector, tourism, and overall economy.
Mr. Wang Zhaoyun, Chairman of Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group and a representative of the the Asia Pacific Vending Association, added that Thailand is considered the center of the ASEAN region where the retail and tourism industries are continuously growing. It is observed that retailers have been continuously investing in department stores, shopping centers, as well as convenience stores, shops, and restaurants, leading to an increase in the demand for vending machines, self-service facilities, and automated retail solutions. The four trade shows serve as a one-stop platform showcasing the most comprehensive range of products, services, innovations, and technology relevant to the industries.
There is also a series of international academic seminars on various topics, giving participants the opportunity to exchange knowledge about vending machines and self-service facilities, which play a significant role in the retail and tourism industries today and in the future. Meanwhile, the ASEAN Pool & Spa Expo and Thailand (Bangkok) Amusement & Attraction Parks Expo or TAAPE 2024 bring together products and services related to tourism, swimming pools, spas, water parks, amusement parks, rides, and more. Among the highlights is the gathering of leading brands in the swimming pool, spa, sauna, amusement park, and attraction industries from both Thailand and internationally in an area of over 5,000 square meters. 50% of the exhibition space is dedicated to amusement parks, water parks and tourist attractions, while another 50% is for swimming pools and spas. Additionally, there are seminars and conferences specifically focused on the swimming pool, water park, and amusement park industries.
